Fizzing Discoveries
Our Fizzing Discoveries theme is currently offered as a one time family engagement night event or as workshops. These engaging activities will introduce students, as young as preschoolers, and their families to the fascinating world of chemical reactions. We will provide hands-on science activities that introduce students to basic art concepts, such as primary and secondary colors, while developing fine motor skills and scientific inquiry. Students will also participate in various activities designed to explore emotions, self-awareness, and interpersonal relationships.
Pi Day
One of our favorite experiences to share are our specialized-theme days, like Pi
Day. Pi Day is on March 14, but it can be enjoyed year round!
Celebrate Pi Day with a fun family event featuring hands-on, inquiry-based activities! Explore the concept of Pi through measuring circles and cylinders, experimenting with colors by creating Venn diagrams, and contributing to a collaborative Pi-themed masterpiece. Engage in activities like "Family Pi-nting," a circle painting exercise, and "Decimal Mystery," which explains the impact of decimals. Test your memory with Pi digit recalling, measure the diameter and circumference of a giant circle with your feet, and practice writing and tracing Pi. And our favorite part... a Pi eating contest (we work with the school to take food allergies into consideration)!
After School Programs
We offer engaging and hands-on after-school programs for elementary schools or other organizations. Each program can be customized to the schools needs, but typically are 5-12 classes long and last 1-2 hours a class.
We also offer Spanish through STEM/STEAM. In these classes, students are emerge in the Spanish language while learning STEM/STEAM components.
